CLUBMARK ACCREDITATION 2023
The cricket club has received a major endorsement over the way we are organised and run, signified by the award of ECB Clubmark status on 15th March 2023. This followed scrutiny by the ECB of the standards we have in place relating to welfare, equality, coaching and management.
WHAT IS CLUBMARK?
ECB Clubmark is an accreditation scheme for cricket clubs which show that a club is sustainable, well run and provides the right environment for its members. Clubmark accreditation also means your club is recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as assuring parents and carers that they are choosing the right option for their young people.
This is a big feather in our cap and is another key component of Weybridge Vandals becoming the best community based multi-sports club in Surrey!
The cricket club is continuing to powerfully drive forward their Vision & Masterplan and ‘get padded up’ for the new season!
The members unanimously voted in the new Cricket Committee at the recent Cricket AGM. This Committee supported by a number of volunteers have hit the ground running across a vital range of actions - notably Clubmark, Recruitment & Expansion, Training and a major Fundraising effort for the Centenary Nets Project.
This is a huge achievement for our Cricket Club, and a well deserved pat on the back is needed for Rob Bastin - who has given up a lot of his spare time to get this over the line! The work doesn't stop now though... The cricket committee alongside Rob will be working hard over the next 12 months to make sure we are re-accredited this time next year...!
